Every year hundreds of thousands of triathletes across the globe register to make it to the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship \u2013 ultimately it is the elite of the elite that are able to toe the start line for this prestigious event. The Land of Endurance<\/em>Daily Recap pays homage to this year’s IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship’s theme and will recap the last 24 hours of activities up to race day.<\/p>\n

Back in 2019, St. George, Utah was announced as the host city for the 2021 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship, giving athletes the opportunity to compete and enjoy the unique Southwestern Utah community. More than 3,000 of the world\u2019s top athletes are registered to compete in St. George, Utah on Saturday, Sept. 18 at the 2021 Intermountain Healthcare IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship presented by Utah Sports Commission. Athletes hail from over 85 countries, regions and territories, with North America leading the way with 76 percent of the athletes registered to race in the 2021 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship. Despite the impact of COVID-19, more than 50,000 athletes toed the start line at 45 IRONMAN 70.3 qualifying races held worldwide to earn a coveted spot for the world championship.<\/p>\n
